Evelyn Louise Whitley

	Evelyn Louise Whitley, 74, of DuQuoin, passed away at 5:50 a.m. Friday, June 2, 2000 at Marshall Browning Hospital in DuQuoin.
	Mrs. Whitley was a homemaker and a member of Second Baptist in DuQuoin.  She was also a member of the American Legion Auxiliary, Eastern Star and Rebeccas.
	She was born February 10, 1926 at Makanda, the daughter of Raymond Earl and Ruby Pearl (Smith) Baggett.  She married Herschel Grady Whitley on March 3, 1941 at Charleston, MO and he preceded her in death on January 12, 1989.
	Surviving are two sons and daughters-in-law, Gerald and Marsha Whitley Sr. of DuQuoin and Jim and Cindy Whitley Sr. of DuQuoin; two daughters and sons-in-law, Kay Ellen and Richard Thompson of Tamaroa and Barbara Lynn and Mike McCrary of DuQuoin; one sister, Bettie Corso of DuQuoin, an uncle, Carl Smith of DuQuoin; 16 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
	She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.
	Funeral services were Sunday, June 4 at 1 p.m. at Neal-McClure Funeral Chapel with Rev. Bob Dickerson officiating.  Interment was in Old DuQuoin Cemetery.
	Friends were able to call Saturday, June 3 from 6 until 8 p.m. and Sunday from 8 a.m. until time of service.
	Memorials may be made to Second Baptist Church in DuQuoin.
